Girls Nigh Out/Happy Hour: Cantina (SF)

03. 07. 14

Laughing Buddha (Hangar One Buddha’s Hand Citron Vodka, lime, crushed ginger, serrano chiles and ginger brew) is #30 on 7×7 SF Big List 2009 “100 to Try Before You Die”

However, it was not the Laughing Buddha that brought me and my girls back to Cantina. We went back for pitchers of  Blackberry & Cabernet Caipirinha and Passionfruit Margarita.

Cantina is starting to become the favorite among us gals. It may sound like we are “imbibers” but the first and last time we have been to this bar/saloon was July of 2012. That was almost two years ago!

Cantina is a small, dark yet classy bar that pays homage to the Latin culture.  Artisan drinks are made with fresh ingredients (no bottled artificial food colorings here). The menu showcases handcrafted Latin-inspired cocktails.

Cantina is down-to-earth but it is no dingy bar. The place is always packed, packed, packed! Do not expect to be seated unless you get there as soon as it opens at 5 pm (just like what my girls and I did in 2012. We actually scored the couches in the back.)

If you are impatient, do not come here. You will have to wait for a long time for your order to be taken and mixed. But patience gets rewarded with the yummiest, well-crafted drinks your lips will ever taste.
