Date Night @ Buckhorn Grill (Emeryville)
09.06.14
Casual date night at Buckhorn Grill which is a casual eatery known for tri-trip sandwiches called “buck”.
Buckhorn Grill is a chain and I have been to the one at the Shopping Center in San Francisco. Buckhorn in Emeryville is nice, homey and reminiscent of the 50’s era. I like this one!
We chose Buckhorn as our pre-movie dinner before watching “November Man.” (It did not garner the best reviews but I actually enjoyed it. I like espionage-type movies.)
My salmon was decent and tasty while we know that we could never go wrong on the tri tip sammie which is what the BF had. They always pile up on the tender and flavorful meat, and also loaded with caramelized onions.
The BF and I enjoyed our entrees:
- Salmon Platter for me (w/ corn bread, mashed potatoes and veggies) $16.99
- Big Buck Trip Tip Sandwich with fries for the BF $12.95
- A glass of Kenwood Chardonnay that the server filled to almost overflowing! Yay! π $6.95
$47 including tip
Casual but nice dinner and movie date night.
